There's occasionally news items of phones exploding, mostly when charging, but even otherwise. Have you ever had a phone explode or catch fire? So far, none of mine have exploded or caught fire I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Here is a news article about a recent phone explosion:
With recent improvements in battery size and charging speed, there have been isolated cases of battery explosions sometimes with casualties. Perhaps, the most prominent till date was the Galaxy Note...

@pitstop I was holding an ASUS smartphone and soon I immediately remove the battery and then the battery released smoke and fire also melted all parts of the battery.

Never experience that at all. I already have used several phones but none of them got to that point that it literally burned. I have some that the battery got busted already like it was not charging anymore and you always have to have it plugged to use it. I think that there are design flaws for this kinds of phone that is why it happens. Like the one with Samsung before it was the design of wiring inside the phone that caused it to burn.

@pitstop I think it was one of the Note Phones they have. It was a design flaw that they have place in the wrong place where it heated the battery causing it to burn. Just a single wiring can cause the phone to flare up.

@pitstop The same as I did in the ancient world - but I will admit they have a few benefits.

Samsung had such a bad publicity when it happened as it was quite a few phones.
