Would you buy a drawing?

We all value our time, in fact, when we have a job, what we are doing is selling some of our time for a paycheck. But I was thinking about what we love to do, what if we get paid for doing something we like? So, I was thinking about selling my drawings, but I have no idea how much I should ask for them. Let's say 5$ for an A4 sized drawing with no background and 10$ for one with a background? 20$ for an A3? Would you pay 5$ for the drawing in the picture? I'm trying to get the best price for me and for the buyer, I like the 'win-win' situations P.S. I was using another drawing, but I forgot I already posted the picture and I had to use this one instead. Sorry about that.

I don't think it makes sense to ask an international community. Romania is a poor country and people won't pay much for a drawing. In Germany you could ask more because people have more money. Why don't you ask family and friends how much they'd pay for such a drawing? I think you could earn some money if you learnt to draw portraits of people and pets.

A good point. But I'm curious what people from around the world are thinking. I know there is a big difference between Romania and Germany, and there isn't a big market for art here. As for family and friends, I don't think they can be objective .

I agree with @MALUSE. This isn’t the place to sell. Besides, I only buy paintings and those I can view in person.

Yes, @MALUSE has a valid point. But I'm not trying to sell them here, I'm just asking for an opinion . And who knows, maybe I'll be a famous painter in the future .

I think your drawing is really good. You could perhaps offer to draw something that is special to someone and your prices seem very reasonable not that I'm any judge. Offer to draw a picture of someone's dog or cat. You might be on to a winner if they like it.

Probably so, but I don't know if I'll pursue this path. I had some nice drawings and pictures, people rrally liked them and they were sold. But this is just a hobby for me now, I am curious though, how much would people from around the world pay. Some wouldn't buy them at all .

@Kasjnak When I had pets I might have bought a drawing of one of them but now I really have too many pictures and Vince has lovely photos that we've framed and put on the walls so there just isn't room for any more.

@JudyEv yeah, I saw that before, one of my friends did the same thing . I think I won't draw for money, I'll turn my works into gifts for my friends .

That’s a beautiful drawing. I think they would sell if you could find the right place to show them.

Thank you. Dunno if I'll sell them, probably I'll just give them as gifts for my friends. Maybe when I'm retired, but it's gonna take a while. Probably 20 years or so .

@Kasjnak It is hard to know how much to charge. Maybe think about all the time you put into your drawings and consider that. Also take in the cost of the supplies you get.

I figure it is always worth a try. It looks like you have quite a lot of talent if you drew that picture you attached!

Yes, it's a simple drawing, I was practicing a little with this car. There are some people out there with amazing skills, they were my inspiration. But they are waaaaay better than me .

Seems right. I rarely asked money for my works, but I won some prizes a long time ago. I'll see how things will work out in the future.
