Those Joy Bundles

Well, yesterday was Hudson's surgery to remove the small tumor in his ear. When it was over my sister and brother-in-law wanted to meet for lunch. Hudson was sound asleep. He sat in his dad's arms, and didn't wake up until we left to go out different ways. Of course, you can see by my picture Amyra was there.
We met at Chili's (I hate Chili's, but they picked the place), and when I sat down Amyra was upset with my sister. She wanted to sit by me, and wouldn't smile until my sister traded places with her.
At the end, Amyra started putting chips on the table, and when I asked her why, she said she wanted to leave food for the ants, if the restaurant had any. Apparently, she watched a cartoon about sharing, and ants were used as an example.
I just love that kid. I love Hudson too, but my sister and brother-in-law adopted Amyra in the middle of my mom's dementia battle (my mom died three years ago at age 55). Amyra gave me joy that I was so desperately lacking.

Is Hudson another child your sister adopted? Because I only remember Amyra.(who has gotten so big, by the way) As usual, my furbabies give me joy, because they don't judge or talk back...The first one is Penny, she is my baby, she is usually hanging around me and loves attention.

@Carmelanirel2 He just turned three. He's had about six surgeries, but he's tough. He can walk, but he also has a walker, and he zips around on that thing like nobody's business. His vocabulary has gotten a lot better as well, but he can't talk in sentences. For the first year of his life he couldn't make a sound because he had a tube in his throat. That's gone, and he's close to getting rid of the hole in his stomach where they feed him (Amyra had the same thing). He has the cutest giggle, and with Amyra being seven she helps a lot with him.

For me it is Roscoe and Jack and just thinking of them makes me smile. Amyra is such a special little girl.

That little girl has such an infectious and uplifting smile!
She must be a joy to everyone who has her in their lives, I know that I feel happier when I see a picture of her.
What brings me joy...…...the most heart-felt and pure joy comes from my husband, the feelings that I have for him, and him for me and time that we spend together. And of course the joy that I feel when I'm with our son, and with his wife, I love her dearly.

Kids are just so funny and logical aren't they.
Glad Hudson had a successful surgery but Amyra made me smile with her ants story.

Such a pretty girl with a kind heart.
My first niece and first nephew were big joys for me (they were born two days apart, and two years after my daughter) for a very long time. Unfortunately, my nieces mom stopped talking to us cause her bf / second babydaddy was controlling. So I lost her out of my life as well. My nephew is still around sometimes, like this past weekend. But not like he used to be up to 2 years ago so makes me sad.
