If there is one good subject that should be taught in all schools from Kindergarten to High School it is learning how to use CPR on someone who needs help when a major illness strikes. Landin Colson who is a fourth grade student in the Simond School in Warner New Hampshire says that he was taught how to use CPR from his gym teacher and nurse. Landin used his skills to assist his dad who collapsed in his home last Saturday which could have been a heart attack. Hope Hersey who was a witness to the incident called 911 to send medical help for Landin's dad. Landin remained very calm when he used his knowledge of using CPR on his dad until medical personnel arrived to take his father to a local hospital where he will recover from his health scare. Landin has been praised for his heroic actions by the fire department and police in Warner New Hampshire. Landin wants to be a firefighter when he reaches adulthood. Now that is a hero we can all look up to.

Isn't amazing how many lives are saved when a regular person knows CPR? I learned it in third grade, but don't know if I could do it exactly right now. At least I remember the Heimlich.

That is good to learn First Aid at a young age.
