Up at the Crack of a Meow

Once again I woke up early in the morning at 2:45AM. Poor little Kuma, the cat suffering with cancer, meowed me awake. I flew out of bed, but she was just hungry, thank goodness, and not in pain. Doodles had eaten her food and treats!
So, I’ve been awake and now it’s almost 6:00AM. I’m feeling sleepy and cold.
It’s cold thanks to the air conditioner. We are in for a summer-like week. I did so like the cooler nights we have had.
The photo is of my son’s fireplace in his gorgeous new home. They made their very first fire in their family room the night of their first anniversary after a romantic dinner out. You can’t get more romantic than that!
So back to bed I go. See you later!

Isn't it!? Thank you! Doodles is in front of our fireplace right now listening to Bach and napping. LOL! It was a cool and misty day today.
When I heard her meow, I flew out of bed and ran to her. I was so frightened. I'm not ready for anything else, and like you said, I was glad she was only hungry, thanks to that fat pig, Doodles!

@DianneN - Get some rest! Poor Kuma! Naughty Doodles! I love the photo of the fireplace. I remember when my husband and I were in our 20s, we bought a home with a fireplace in Texas in July. We wanted to try out the fireplace immediately, so we cranked down the air conditioner and lit a fire! How silly we were! LOL

@DianneN - Ha ha! You made me feel so much better about having a fire with the a/c running! Doodles might enjoy Florida. Lots of new critters to see! Who knows? Perhaps he will start thinking of himself as a Florida type of cat!

I was able to sleep for 3 hours and 45 minutes. That Doodles has been extremely naughty and may wind up in Florida with us. Don't laugh, but I run the a/c with the fireplace all the time. My husband likes it cold in the house, and, well, I'm a Florida type of girl.

I was a nervous wreck and literally flew out of bed when I heard her. Doodles is such a pig! I don't know how to stop him from eating her food and treats. Now, I give him less good night treats, knowing he's going to gobble up hers, too.
Thank you. I crawled right back to bed and slept for 3 hours and 45 minutes. It messed up the day, but what the heck.

Oh goodness - Kuma had late night (early morning) munchies! It's weird that it actually feels like autumn here - it's actually just warmish-cool and decent here - doesn't feel like summer like it normally would. Oh I feel cozy here just looking at their fireplace . . . I will sit in front of the monitor and have some hot chocolate 
!
