Fly Powered Paper Airplane

Haven't been around much. Been putting in big hours at work and come home pretty tired. On top of that, the demolition job I'm doing involves a pending lawsuit so I'm not allowed to discuss it - sorry. On the way home from work the other day we were talking about some of the crazy stuff we did when we were kids. Robbie made a fly powered paper airplane when he was a kid. That took first prize. I had to look it up on the Internet because he said he saw it in an Archie comic book. He can't be alone on this one. Sure enough, I found something on YouTube I'll link at the end here. The way this is done is to capture a good size fly and put him in the freezer to chill for a while. This'll make him more cooperative while you super glue some little paper wings to him later. Once you have him prepped, you let him thaw out. He'll move like a miniature Frankenstein monster before he completely regains his coordination. Then he's ready to go. My kids thought this was the coolest, funniest thing they'd heard of in a while. What do you folks think?
Inventor Thomas Fetterman ushers in a new phase of renewable energy technology by harnessing the power of the common house fly.

I thought it was fascinating. Never would have thought of doing something like that.

You'd need to get the freezing part right and not overdo it.

If my kids elect to try this, considering our insect woes, I won't object to a little trial and error on this count.

Well, I am not a fan of flies but what this man does is pretty cruel.

I can see your point. I kind of object to him calling himself an inventor and posting this since it is not his invention.

@koopharper He invented nothing, the flies can fly by their own, he is only abusing them creating the little Frankenstein that will not survive for a very long time.
