It is a good thing that Gregorio De Santis listened to the advice of his sister to clean out old clothes to donate it to a charity this autumn.
The story is that Gregorio bought a lottery ticket last December but when he arrived home, he made an error not to see if the numbers of his lottery tickets won the grand prize.
Three people who bought the lottery ticket cashed in their share of the $5.4 million U S dollar jackpot.
Gregorio did not know that he had a lottery ticket that was worth $1. 35 million dollars in U S money.
When he was ready to donate his old clothes to a local charity, he looked inside the pocket of one of his clothes and found a lottery ticket.
When Gregorio went to check out if he was a grand prize winner at a store display.
Gregorio was amazed that he won the grand prize of $1.35 million dollars.
Had Gregorio's winning lottery's ticket was claimed after December 6, 2018, he would have blown $1.35 million dollars.
Gregorio will use his winnings to take his nephew to ice hockey games and save the money for his retirement.

That is true since he did fall asleep at the switch when he did not check out his lottery ticket if they matched the grand prize in December 2017. Better late than never.
