Since Oct.1 - 7 is our National Day vacation. So many people had a travel or went back to the hometown for a visit. We went to my husband's hometown and visited his parents. When we went back to our city after the vacation, his parents put a lot of food into the trunk and it was so full. I told them we could have these food easily here but they still hoped us to bring more. Perhaps they thought their food are the best and this is what they could do for us. I can see some show their trunks because they also bring a lot of food like us. Now I can understand it is not only the food, but the love.

So many times what we give or are given are more important because of the amount of love they have.

@LadyDuck We also brought a carton of vegetables home. In fact his parents still want to fill the car and I think it is already very crazy

You are so right. The food is really a sign of the love your in-laws feel for you and your family. It is a lovely thing to do.

The love matters the most. By accepting these things, you have shown respect to their love.

It is surely a trunk full of love. The same happens with us when we visit our parents. There are things that I have not learnt to make as I get them from my mom or my mom in law. It is a true blessing.

We may not realize it when we were young.

In fact I am much more worried that the food will go bad as it really spend time to finish them. This is why I have to share some with friends and relatives here.
