Formatting takes as long as writing a book

I wish I was not a perfectionist. I wish I had more technical skill. I wish this formatting was done, but it isn't. Therefore I persevere and break off every hour or so to post on sites like myLot. I won't get done at this rate, but I am determined to finish today even if it is midnight. Ugh I hate formatting...

Still working on the cover for Finding Jesus, A Parties on a Budget book and finally, the relationships book is finished and that one is the biggest headache of all. It is so many short chapters. Lots of H2 and not easy to get uniform as it needs to be for on and off-line and the page numbering and headers always cause me a headache. Then there are the covers....It all takes so long apart from the writing, doesn't it.

@just4him No I hate Microsoft with a passion and use Libre Office. It is actually easier. It is me not the software that is the problem. I am fine but always have trouble with the front matter numbering and like to make the thing look professional. I want page 2 to be the first number after chapter page....

@JudyEv It is such a long process. Actually, I have two books to format just now and a third to get out there. I thought I would be done with all three nearly a year ago and really envy those who seem able to just churn out an eBook in weeks. I am too much of a perfectionist to do that.
