This movement had been in rage in India in Bollywood industry lately.. All thanks to Tanushree Dutta..!! She lightened up the movement.. But this movement is not restricted to some sectors/fields of society.. This molestation or abuse is also felt by ordinary and common girls like us.. No, this kind of harassment does not happen only with beautiful girls, it happens with everyone-both men and women.. I had encountered many such situations, where I wanted to shout, where I want to slap and hit until the person is dead.. Some situations were like I wanted to bury my face into a heap of sand.. I won't be sharing the incident as I am still uncomfortable but yeah, I wanna say, "ME TOO". So, it's a yes or no for your "me too"??

I think it would be a big YES from most of females across the Globe and especially in India. We suffer some or the other form of abuse at some point of time. Some of these abuse are not even considered to be an abuse. They are just a part of this patriarchal society.

A near miss for me - someone who was targetting me as a child was caught before he could fully ensnare me because another victim spoke out - I hope the Meetoo movement encourages many more to speak out and that when you feel right about it, you are able to present your own story to the authorities too, especially if the people who hurt you may have harmed, or could still harm others. You are very brave

Many men and women we know are in favor of the "ME TOO" movement b/c they have had something happen. Others we know are in favor b/c they don't want anything terrible to happen to those around them. People must tell when something happens to them, even if it seems embarrassing.

An elder friend of mine had went to mental asylum as part of their syllabus of psychology.. After she came, she narrated, there, she had encountered with a beautiful girl but she is nomore in stable state.. Incident- Her elder brother many a time tried touching her in wrong ways.. After a point, she fought with him and elaborated to her parents.. But they did not listen to her and instead, beaten her.. After that, her brother got more enthusiasm and raped her many times and as a result, she lost her mental stability..

the #metoo movement will only work with actual legit cases. It will falter if it becomes politicized, like it has become here in the u.s.

@anya12adwi - in general, just to ruin someones career and reputation all because you dont like that person. i still say false accusers should be penalized somehow.

@Plethos Yes, false accusers should be put on to trial but the real victims should be given justice though how much late they are to voice out their opinions

Yes, we all go through moments that we like to forget. Some things clear up when we talk about it like when we are misunderstood or we did something wrong. But, when someone else does a wrong thing, it is best not to talk about it. It is upto the other person to understand the wrong they did. We should forget it for our part. That is what I think.

@anya12adwi Sharing bad things makes the bad person bigger. If we share good things, that person becomes insignificant. It is not easy to talk about nice things when we are angry. But, once we do, we pass that bridge called conflict and reach the other shore called peace.

@gofsey True, I cannot control when I am angry if someone hurted me.. So, I just vent out emotions in a bad way.. And then feel guilty about it

Me Too! I never would keep my mouth shut if I am shamed in any way by a guy or anyone. Good thing here in the Philippines you can file a case, when you are battered physicall and verbally. EVen the children are well taken cared by our laws.

@anya12adwi That is the problem there in India. Women and children have no right to voice out what they feel and to fight battering by their parents.

But in India, your own parents won't support you, you will be discussed by the neighbourhood and moreover in many of the cases, the police are least bothered

@SIMPLYD Yes, today we say we are developing, but most of the families in India don't consider the voice of women and children of any use.. It is incase of career too

The Me too movement really brought out the filth of Bollywood and lot of people who were hiding wearing masks of dignity, humanity, sanskaar and all that have been exposed big time. However the only concern is it is also being misused by some people. We are taking the allegations of the victims on the face value, and sometimes when you get to know that is again a publicity propaganda, then its really dangerous.

Yes, people like some pooja and then rakhi sawant totally misuse it!! But we have like bad culture that, 100 defaulters may escape, but the innocent one should not be punished and that's somewhere the modus operandi of these defaulters! They try by hook or by crook to look as innocent but they ain't!
