TV and Movie characters you are similar to

Do you find any similarities in yourself, and any characters from TV? I ask because I have noticed 3 from TV and 1 from film that are my double! So check it out. ... 1) Daria Morgandorfer from MTV's "Daria". Daria sees through a lot of the gimmicks of society and is unabashedly herself. She's cynical and smart and she's Me, if I were bolder and a cartoon character. 2) Adrian Monk from "Monk" - Monk and I share obsessive compulsive disorder, but sometimes, just sometimes we can pull through and do extra ordinary things. After we get done lysoling the couch. 3) Tina Belcher from "Bob's Burgers". Tina is quiet, misunderstood, smart and shy. She likes horses, unicorns, and butts. Her trademark utterance is "Uhhhhhhhhhhhh". Basically unrelated twins. and our movie mention : Theodore Twombly from the movie "Her". Theodore is smart, sensitive, shy and a skilled writer. He's easy going, and instead of potential dates loving this about him, he gets treated like a doormat. Basically the male version of myself. They're all fantastic characters, of course I would say that. So it was hard to pick one example , but here is Daria, being herself.

While I can identify with many emotions a character may show/express I don't identify with any

@GreatMartin Martin, you remind me of Father Flanagan a little but even he doesn't fully capture you. Spencer Tracy should have done a better job. Oh, and there's Scrooge. Your attitude towards Spoilers is quite close to his attitude towards Christmas. @FayeHazel This might make a good follow-up question for you, "Do you know anyone who reminds you of a movie or TV character?"

@xander6464 That is a good question. Off the top of my head I can think of 2 people I know and 1 family member who remind me of Hyacinth Bucket (Pronounced Bouquet) from "Keeping Up Appearances" though

Oh I hope so! I saw a what do you call it? - joke trailer? (Spoof?) But I really hope there's a real movie - it would rule so hard. Happy to see you back!

I love Daria. I don't have any for me...Well, there are obvious choices like Xander from Buffy (He's suave and sophisticated, just like me), Superman (Because, just like him, I would never abuse any of my powers, especially the x-ray vision, if I had them) Maxwell Smart (Again, smart, sophisticated and effective, just like me) Hawkeye from MASH (Technically, I'm not a physician but I love playing doctor) Sheldon from Big Bang Theory (I'm not as smart as he is but I do have his people-pleasing personality) and Taylor Swift (I can't play any instruments or write songs but I hate Trump, so she's basically a female me). I could go on but the point is, not one fictional character captures all of me. It's very disappointing.

Daria rules! Lol! What I like is that you're so humble, but... I mean are you *really* as charming as Sheldon? Cause he's so suave.

@FayeHazel I wish she wasn't a cartoon. Well, I can't lie to you, so, yes, I am just as charming as Sheldon. I'm a little more flexible, though. For example, I don't insist that anyone go to the bathroom on a strict schedule. I say, be like a hippie and just go whenever you feel like it. If you want. I mean if that kind of barbarism works for you, go with it.

@xander6464 Me too! I hope there's a movie made. Unscheduled bathroom use? Well, I guess it's fine for *some* types of folks.

I haven't seen any of those, but I'm not a sitcom person. I don't know what character I could relate too. I never gave it any thought. Maybe Emma Swan from Once Upon a Time. Questioning everything. Holds back. Needs to be pushed to do the right thing. Has no problem with confrontations if pushed to her limit.

I love the show Daria. I loved watching it on TV when I was a teen. A year or two ago I saw the full season on DVD and bought it for my teen daughter. She loved it! I have never watched the two other shows you mentioned here but I know my daughter has watched Bob's Burgers.

Mine would be Moana. Just because of the curly hair and the island vibe. Plus her desire to travel the horizons.

@FayeHazel That is really cool. I have never thought of being like someone on TV or in a movie before. Maybe you can help me. I like to plan ahead and am organized. Can you think of someone like that for me?

Hmmmm maybe like Jack Shepard from the TV series "Lost"? He most certainly liked to be organized and plan ahead, qualities that made him the leadership of the Island on the show... :-)

@Hannihar Really? Oh that's too bad. :/ I hadn't heard anything about the actor , come to think on it, I don't know if I have seen his acting outside of "Lost". I was struggling with this, but how about Dana Scully, "X-Files" - only for her pracicality though. On the show Scully was a Scientist - and I think you are a woman of great Faith... however Scully was very well planned out and orderly.... so in tha aspect

Lol, she certainly doesn't beat around the bush. I don't know any tv or movie character I have similarities with. I rarely watch tv lately and then mostly shows on dancing. I do have slight OCD though, so I can relate a bit to Monk.
