For a couple of months, since Bob's doctor took him off of some of his medicines, I have suspected another one needed to go.
Due to his continuing difficulties, hubby called the doc, wanting to know if he needs to be seen. He asked about this med. Doc said to discontinue it.
He also said," You might have a UTI, so I am putting you on an antibiotic, again." So it is back to making sure to eat yogurt and drink smoothies.
Besides side effects like blood in the urine and bladder problems, etc. this med causes high blood sugar as well.
It can cause depression, and lethargy.
Glad to be rid of it.

I fully agree with @changjiangzhibin89, no medicine comes without a side effect. I hope he will feel better soon.

Some people never have side effects but my poor husband seems to have had them all.

Yes, we are as well. I think he asked about another in the same class but the doc just said to quit taking it.

Actually there is another one that got discontinued because the refills have lapsed and he will have to see a doctor before they refill it. It is another one with bad side effects, though.
