Not A Cloud

What a simply beautiful time of the year this is. And yet, I know that some on the site are bracing for a hurricane. I hope that it diminishes in strength and that you all stay safe. I absolutely love this time of the year. We've had some cool weather, and that gave us a taste of what is to come, but the past few days have been very mild. The colours are almost at their peak and some of the leaves are actually starting to drop off of the trees. Its a short-lived yet beautiful time of the year. Yesterday we had near record high temperatures, and there was not a cloud in the sky. Its a great time to enjoy the outdoors before they are coated with snow. ~Photo I took yesterday

Isn't this just so wonderful? Especially after the cool and damp weather we've both survived. I had to get a couple of pairs of capris and some short sleeved shirts out of the cedar chest as I had them all packed away until next spring. We could still get another warm snap around the end of the month-but we'll take this for now.
Today our weather is transitioning to what we should normally be experiencing. Tomorrow will be a normal day as far as the weather is concerned here. This hot weather at this time of the year is too much for me, although a lot of people enjoyed it, I wasn't one of them. I love the cooler weather of the fall and prefer the cold temperatures of the winter season over the heat of the summer season.
We have a cool front coming thru very slowly, they are calling for a 10 degree (Celcius) difference today from yesterday. And yet up in the northern part of the province, they are possibly going to get some snow and ice-its way too early for that even up there. This weather is just crazy.

We are experiencing high temperatures too, but tomorrow it will be far cooler. We have honey locust trees in our area, and the streets look like the Yellow Brick Road with all the tiny, yellow leaves covering the streets.

@Juliaacv We had one in the backyard when we bought this house. After experiencing one fall season, we had that huge honey locust removed. I have the leaves of the trees of others all over the place, but not as many as when we had one of those trees of our own.
