This morning Tony got up and he just could not take it anymore, he began to wheeze. He told his sister that the raccoon had to go outside, plus he complained about the smell. So she took it to her daughter that is staying in the next city over. She is coming back, for dinner I know. What did I cook? Beef roast with brown gravy mashed potatoes sweet peas Peach cobbler While I have the hot azz oven on I went a head and made a large pone of cornbread for tomorrows dinner, beans and cabbage. I forgot to mention this place is filling with people, not just the hurricane people but this is race weekend, The Talladega 500. What is for dinner at your place?

Yours sounds good too. We had chicken and dumplings. Hope moving the raccoon out helps Tony feel better.

@andriaperry I raised a couple and never noticed a smell, even after being gone all day. But I did give them a bath at least once a week and sometimes more. Plus my dog at the time loved to wash them.

@wolfgirl569 I think a lot of it was the crate, after so many bathroom uses and not disinfected.......

Its hard because I am used to being alone too, even with Tony here , I am not entertaining and it does not take much food for us.

That sounds a great meal - well, both do. It's hard to beat a good roast.

I posted about our meal. It was a beef pastie, or hand pie. Frozen blue berries with homemade yogurt and a little maple syrup.I would be glad to eat with you as well. I put half of my cornbread away from the last batch I made. May have it tomorrow with beef stew.

They should have not asked to keep the raccoon inside, they know that Tony has breathing problems. Very good your beef roast dinner.

@andriaperry It's a fast food chain that offers hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, barbecue, fries, onion rings and more. They have the thickest, most delicious milk shakes ever!
