Hurricane Michael kicked ass!

If you dont believe in man made global warming now you are an idiot. OK, it may not lead to a catastrophe for the planet and the end of the world but the word 'catastrophe' rightfully added by the scientists to get us to act. Every hurricane season gets worse and these storms get bigger and more intense every year. The scary thing about Michael is it developed from a cluster of storms off the coast of Mexico ot a basic Cat 1 Storm but a Category 4 storm in no time at all as it swirled across the Gulf to smash America, only three MPH away from a Category 5..It was a record 919 mb in the low pressure center, enough displacement to lift the ocean up 12ft. Normally they build up with the hype in the Atlantic and everyone ready. It was almost like it was being weaponized by the Russians off Aruba and the equivalent of having nukes in Cuba, it was that close and dangerous from inception to impact. You get these idiots and attention seekers online who say the weather is being used as a weapon by governments and contrails are seeded with chemicals that cause bad weather and stuff when in reality global warming is doing that job for us. I know there is not a lot we can do to stop global warming if we keep having kids in the third world but we need to start listening and changing our lifestyles as best we can. The thing I could never understand is why MMGW deniers thought it was all made up as it aids no one to hype up the premise of MMGW.. There are lots more Michael's to come. Incredibly its now ploughing inland just off the East Coat as a category three hurricane.Normally they die off over land pretty quickly but not this baby. The ocean was so hot its just loaded with juice and could even re-energize as it sweeps off to Europe in the jet-stream.

@stringer321 Sadly we are going the wrong way on so many crucial factors. When it comes to the weather, we are failing. We are not improving it, we are making it worse.

@1hopefulman Don't lose hope, Hope :-) The science can find solutions to the weather, maybe we will start using the solar energy better, instead of using gas. It can start from us if we really want :-)

It's time we start to live in harmony with nature, we will need to live in harmony with each other first though. If everyone keeps thinking how to use the others, it will never stop. It can't work this way. Many people will stay poor, many wiill need help.

I believe in man made global warming, we even had a small hurricane in the Mediterranean last week. October in Switzerland was a cold month, years ago sometimes we had snow, there are 25ยบ Celsius right now... how do people call this if not global warming?

The problem is that it is never possible to assign any one weather event to a manmade cause. There have always been hurricanes, way before global warming started, so the deniers have this let-out clause every time and can simply say that this is all coincidence. It is a similar line to "You cannot prove beyond doubt that it was young Kavanagh who tried to rape you 30-odd years ago, so therefore it never happened and you are making it up".
