My husband left very early this morning, at around 4:30am. With is a bag with clothes, his laptop and some of the necessities he would need. They will have their company will have another out of town trip. His company do this every quarter. I think it is very unnecessary. Though their company is not that big I think it is quite expensive to do this four times in a year. It somewhat a rest and recreation for them and also the boss evaluate their performance. Though it is nice to travel, I think they can do this in a much less expense here within the metro.

@rakski You should go reading the post from another member here. Her husband also left for some trip. She was dancing around (even if she missed him very much).
I am all alone. Well, I'm not. I'm on a bus. But last night I was alone. And tonight I will be alone. {except for the cats} And I love it. LOVE. IT. I...

You should have insisted to go with him so you would know if it really is a company outing. Four times in a row is very suspicious to me. Even if the number of staff is not that big. Unless the owner is a millionaire or something.

It depends who is paying for it I guess. The company must think it is worth it or they would stop doing it.

The boss like to go on places. It is under company's expenses every quarter but there are no salary increases

Coincidentally, this morning my husband left very early this morning too - at 4:30am. too! But he did not go out of of town ... he just went to work extra early (still 45 minutes away) to see a contracted co-worker - to make sure some project was going smoothly. Yah, some companies can get excessive with the trips.

I agree that four times a year seems a bit too much.

4 times a year sounds a bit too often. My son's firm sends them on yearly weeklong trips, for both work and pleasure. I hope you won't be lonely!

Yes, I think so too. They started the year with a trip and end it with a trip for Christmas party. I won't be lonely. Kids are here
