I don't know what this may sound to you. I need you comments, suggestions, opinions, thoughts regarding this. I have a co-worker, she's the oldest among us, I am the one with a higher rank, next position to me is two much younger and then her. We are all female. At first, we were okay, although we three have already one comment about her, she seldom perform her duties and responsibilities and during noontime she often sleeps and sometimes will wake up almost 2:00 in the afternoon. Being the highest in rank, I already talked about this to our Admin, He told me that he's going to talk to her. In a week, she'll work fine but after that back to basic. Most of us three became one of the Boss Favorite, maybe because of our performance in work. We always arrive on time in compare to her. Though she comes home late, in between those hours she just keeps on browsing at her social media account or watch TV and worst, chit chatting nonsense. Lately, she did something behind my back because she can see that I am the boss favorite. So what she did was relay wrong information to the boss that made her to become the favorite. Worst, she became the eyes and ears of boss especially those who are against him. I am not affected of it, what affects me is her story telling a-lie style that affects other employees. Now, a new boss arrives, since I can't take it anymore, I told him about the faction that's going between us, the reason of the faction and being the one responsible or overlooking among them regarding duties and responsibilities I told our new boss regarding designations and other task. And our boss has already an advance information about her, we call it "pass the word". Now, I am thinking, am right with my decision about her? Did I just do my part as the highest in rank among us?

Yes, you did right and if she is having any problem, she should express or share her issues or better, she can take some leaves.. If she is generally lazy, then good that you did the correct thing

I don't know but in my perception one thing also is she cannot accept that we are younger than her but she is in the lowest position. She is already 55 years in service and what I am trying to point out to her is be old enough to show some manner and observe work ethics.
