Writing Prompt: Best Thing To Happen This Week

Hey there, peeps. I’m in the middle of working and listening to music, but I thought I’d do a writing prompt today. This one asks: “What's the best thing that happened to you this week?”
The first thing that comes to mind is the excitement of Monday.
First, I saw my favorite music group, New Kids On The Block, on The Today Show and Entertainment Tonight. They also released their new song called “80s Baby”. I’m still not sure what’s going on in regards to attending their tour, but I loved seeing them on TV.
The second thing was definitely my favorite wrestler, Shawn Michaels, coming out of retirement. I’m not gonna lie, my eyes got a little watery when that happened lol. Don’t judge me haha.
Now, I posted these in order that they happened, and you all know I loveeeee NKOTB, but I think HBK coming out of retirement may be a tad bit higher on my list. He retired 8 ½ years ago, and I just never thought he’d come out of retirement this soon… if at all. Even if he only wrestles once or twice, or part-time, I’m just happy he’s even coming out for this match (HBK/HHH vs. The Undertaker/Kane). :)
So yeah, Monday was probably the best thing to happen this week. Now there’s a sentence you don’t hear every day lol. What was the best thing to happen to you this week?
I’m gonna get back to my work, but I’ll try to be back tonight for the Gratitude Challenge. Take care, everyone.

My second book of poems is in the working stage. I have two publishing companies one working on my cover and one doing the formatting so I can submit to Createspace.

The best thing was knowing my daughter wasn't seriously injured in a car wreck. But she is going to physical therapy for 6 weeks to hopefully prevent hip surgery.

The best thing to happen to me last week was getting back to the pool on Wednesday, my Bible study on Friday night, and brunch yesterday morning with the ladies from church. It turned out to be a great week.

@tammys85 Today is great! No knee or back pain, though I do need to get up and stretch and eat soon. I haven't touched my book since last Thursday, so it's time to get back to work on that as well. I do have a deadline, and I will meet it. I didn't do the pool yesterday or today. I had leg cramps all weekend, and today I have a doctor's appointment, and just wanted to wait before going back tomorrow. Also, I didn't get to bed until 11 last night after an amazing Packers win over San Francisco on Monday Night Football.

For me.. probably taking the kids to the parade on Sunday and my cousin meeting us there. Or mom and i taking the kids to dinner last night.

You had a much better week than I did. The best thing that happened to me was I had lunch with Bill Gates and he only borrowed $10. It's usually $20. He stuck me with the check like he always does but with the reduced loan, it didn't cost me as much as it usually does.
