Three days now, 2 afternoons and 1 morning that I run with my two youngest children; Jaeden and Lian. I told them I want to train them as runner and an elite athlete and I will personally train them. Lian is 8 years old and Jaeden is 11 years old. This is the ideal for them to start to train-- it could also be better if they are younger but its okay. And I'm not forcing them because they love to run. They are excited. Actually, they always remind me of our running. Next year my little daughter will start to compete in their school.

sometimes her brother wants to come and the three of us run together, in running it is important to have a running buddy because it makes the rhythm of the body.

Indeed, the best way to start training them in any field of sport is at an early age. But it has to be that they have the interest for it. It should be them who will select what sport they will be in, so they will prosper.

@ilocosboy That's such a good idea. It's a really healthy way to live and will keep them away from computer games a bit - hopefully.

If that is what they like and love to do then go for it, it's also a good opportunity to bond with them, being their own personal trainer would also cost you almost nothing.

It is very good for you to train them. In any case, this is a good way to exercise. They can at least keep healthy.

It's nice that you work with your children. I don't run.....not even to catch a bus. My middle child is a marathon runner....she recently ran the Berlin Marathon.

And I am hoping she will not change, she's a sports minded kid so I am not really having hard time to tell for us to run.
