What animals do you have in your living area ?

We have some kinds of animals: cats, almost no dogs (almost no street dogs), rats, mice, birds, pigeons, jackal (a kind of wolf/fox, they sometimes howl at night), bugs (ants, beatles, mosquitoes, flies, butterflies)...
I think to myself that they deserve their own environment, but, we keep destroying nature area to build buildings on it, to make roads, less and less space is available for them. They need to somehow live among us without doing any harm like the cats, the birds... We keep killing them and that's sad.
I think we can learn from the bugs and the animals how to live together, more simple life. Less stress...Your take mylotters, what kind of animals do you have around and what do you think we can learn from them ?

Wolves can be scarry, they can kill dogs if the dogs are not strong to defend themselves.
Even though, they hunt together, they have a lot of stamina, they can smell their food from a long distance. I wish we had some cooperation like them.
Is there anything you like in any kind of animal you have there ?

@LadyDuck Really ? You can watch youtube videos if you search for dog vs wolf. One video is funny, some are not really a fight, but some, are a wolf that just come and take a dog and hunt it for food.

@stringer321 Wolves stay up in the woods and they do not attack dogs, they are protected animals here. I like all animals.

That's a little sad, you have no animals around your home, but, you have your dog as a best friend, he doesn't need to talk smart words, it is just there to be with you. I think many of us can say a lot when we don't speak, we just show comfort, we can be together, be there for each other.
Play with your dog but not as a toy, roll a tennis ball for him to catch, show him bugs so he can catch, like cockroaches if you have some in the house...it can be so funny when it tries to catch them. :-)

@Janet357 All right, so your dog has a good friend. Just remember the dog has needs like us, it needs to eat and it needs to pee and poop, like us, but the dog has no toilet, it needs to wait until you decide to take it for a walk.

@stringer321 because we temporarily live in a small apartment because of my husband’s work. But back in our house in the city, we have two cute chubby chihuahuas, and cats. Now i have this big japanese spitz that plays all day long. I belly rub him and squeeze him sometimes but he never growls.

It is sad that space for the animals is becoming less.There are a lots of stray dogs and cats in my area.I have lovebirds and fish as pets in my house as pet.They are so adorable to look at and I love them

That's true, our population keeps growing and we decide to take more space instead of finding a solution that is good for us and for the nature. I like the twits of the love birds, it can be very relaxing for you to just sit and listen to them. It can be their gift for you :-)

You saved him from being like a prisoner for the rest of his life. He is wonderful for being a dog, he has no cruelty, he needs affection and a friend to be with. :-)
Don't forget he needs to go out 3 times a day when nature calls him, he needs to pee, to poop...

We have a cat, snakes, bear, deer, squirrels, mosquitoes, dragon flies, deer flies, yellow flies, wasps, ants, fire ants, frogs, crickets, Egrets or Scoggins, rabbits, turkeys, turkey buzzards, hawks, eagles, beaver, and that's about it. What I've learned from them is to stay away from the snakes and fire ants.

It is very surprising to notice a snake at the middle of the day, and think - how come it got so long and dangerouse without being noticed before ?
We also have snakes in my neighbourhood, they are deadly, they are called a viper. Even though, those are not the deadliest, there are other snakes that are ten times more deadly.
They hide well, dogs can smell them and get alerted. Even from their fallen skin...

deer, large birds, bear? haven't seen one, but likely. fox,coyotes, beavers, snakes, rodents of all types including squirrels, and woodchucks.

@Lignitecityabishek96 there is a funny utube channel with squirrels. The dude builds dynamic things for the squirrels, and they come to eat and get a surprise :-)

Is there anything you like at the animals ?
Maybe something you think we can learn from them ?
I think butterflies who feed from flowers, are so nice to look at, they are colorful, they fly and tell us about the spring season, and they breed the flowers by passing seeds from one flower to another. I don't like the small brown butterflies who sneak into the kitchen and get into the rice package, and ley eggs, grow their larva in the package...

@stringer321 I like that animals are sometimes better than humans. They receive other animals and they raise them. I like bees because they are so important for us. The funny thing is that I am scared of butterflies. Their wings scare me.

@dya80dya unfortunately, we like eating what the bees puke. I think it is making them slaves, growing them to find flowers, and then take their honey...There is something better to eat, silan, it is palm honey.

I hope at least that the animals are being treated well and not as slaves and as prisoners.
Those animals have feelings too. I guess by your username that you like vegetables and fruits. That's cool. Keep eating them more than meat and reduce the animals suffering.
