If ABC 'Regrets Firing Roseanne Barr,' Why Can't They Just Apologize & Hire Her Back?

Breitbart & World Net Daily confirm that American Broadcasting Company "regrets firing her for her racist tweet(s)." 'So why can't they apologize for it & hire her back,' I wonder. Looking around (and still not finding it, exactly), I find several clues. https://www.lifezette.com/2018/09/roseanne-barr-regrets-her-public-apology-for-controversial-tweet/ The main hint--aside from 'ABC going int production on "The Conners" (the Roseanne-replacement)--is 'Roseanne Barr signing-away her rights-to-the-creation.' That tells me that she's 'cut loose ... from the noose ... that's kept her hanging around'---she's given up on Hollywood ("It's gonna crumble into the ocean soon anyway.") She's staying out & staying neutral. She has to--she says--because "I have some mental health issues of depression and stuff. I got to stay in the middle or I’ll go dark, and I don’t want to go dark again." Besides, she's also working on music in Nashville and is writing a new sitcom! Anyway, I put The Conners on my DVR auto-record--I figure I'll give the first few episodes a chance--but if Barr's new sitcom comes out nationally, of-course I'll watch that instead!

I wouldn't consider Breitbart a reliable source. Never heard of the other one but I'm assuming they are along the lines of Breitbart.

According to the Washington Examiner, a reliable source if ever there was one (notice: sarcasm font in use), two unnamed senior executives at ABC said they feel the firing of Barr was rushed. This is not the official ABC Television Network's position.

On the first page of news results, Breitbart the first source I saw that I'd ever heard of (but you can see I didn't use their link and I named more than one source, so I don't know why you commented on them unless you're trawling-for-a-trolling ).

I never watched the original Roseanne or the reboot. Her voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears and I find no redeeming qualities in her acting or her public persona.

Yeah I don't think that show is going to make it without here, I don't even know if I want to give it a chance. I mean I love Dan but it's not going to be the same.
