Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bob Iger is doing his part to assist the victims of Hurricane Michael which has left the Florida Panhandle in ruins after the Cat 4 storm made landfall in Mexico Beach Florida by donating $1 million dollars to assist relief efforts. Florida Governor Rick Scott thanked the executives of the Walt Disney Company for the donation that will be used by the victims of the infamous hurricane to rebuild their communities. Iger was moved to assist the Sunshine State since the theme parks that bear the name of the late Walt Disney are in Florida for over 50 years. It is nice to see the business communties lend a helping hand to the victims of Hurricane Michael which is one of the worst tragic events in the panhandle region of Florida.

Disney probably could have afforded to cough up a bit more for their home state.

That is what I am thinking myself since they pay huge salaries for their on air talent at ESPN.

@Deepizzaguy I didn't want to be super negative but I'm not really impressed by just a $1 million donation by Disney. They can afford to do A LOT more for Florida.

It is very kind for Walt Disney Company to do so. It will be helpful for those who suffer from the hurricane. I hope there will be more companies to donate some money for it. It can make a difference.
