I think I had mentioned on here before that my chromebook, (well it really wasn't mine per se but kind of on permanent loan to me) had a bad crack on the screen, rendering it unusable. I had planned on buying a replacement..but friend took it to a friend of his who apparently repairs computers. He told me the guy was good, but it would probably take him quite some time to repair it. That was just a few days ago..anyway, the guy just texted him..it is fixed..Hallejuah! I like using a chromebook as it is so portable.Have you had any good news lately?

That is wonderful. It is pretty inconvenient to not have the computer you use all the time. My good news is scarce, so I am going with the fact that it is much cooler than it has been. That means with no heat and no air conditioner my electricity bill will be lower.

Oh yes I haven't used either for a couple of weeks. I don't turn either on unless absolutely necessary.

I have been using a windows based PC, but I prefer the chromebook for simplicities sake. It is nice to have both though. Fantastic on your move in date..Now you can pack in earnest.

They can, but usually the cost isn't worth it all, considering you can buy one for about one hundred bucks,,cheaper in some places.

My guess is he put a new screen in, but I don't know for sure. I think it was probably too far gone to simply repair the screen. Before the screen got so bad the Cbook was working fine.

@snowy22315 For those who repair computers it's surely easier to keep spare parts. We still have many pieces from our previous desktops.

You don't know that the alternative might not be better.
