My broken hip

As much as I like being on mylot, I hated when I no longer could be on here for a while. Two weeks ago I fell and broke my hip. So far it has been a long painful process, but I'm getting better. My leg just stays swollen all the time right now and of course I'm still having to use a walker to get around. The next thing I'm going to have to do is to climb up and the stairs.

Yes, I had surgery a day later, I got a rod and pins in my hip now.

@KristenH oh yes, it was painful, don't know how long it will be before I can walk without a walker.

oh my. you are tough and brave. i can't imagine that pain. i already have enough. as it is i walk with a walker also but have to keep my oxygen tubing out of the way at the same time every step.

I know it has to be tough for you also. I am doing a lot better now. I still have to walk with a walker, I can't wait until I can start walking with a cane.

Oh I already had surgery, I was in so much pain before that, I couldn't hardly stand it.

Thank you, I haven't tried using the stairs yet, I'm waiting for someone to be there when I try the first time.
