Do you face groupism in your office or place of work?

Birds of a feather flock together.Teenagers usually go with their peers and close friends, barring almost all 'outsiders'. That's natural to them. But it is quite unnatural among adults, especially in a place where everyone is expected to be of one mind. Isn't it saddening to find people ganging up against others in offices and work places, biting backs of their colleagues, whenever they come together. In my opinion, this kind of groupism is toxic and harmful to any community of people. Do you face such phenomenon in your office or place of work?

I am very rarely included in conversations at work, but I figure I don't need to be part of their gossip and if they're talking about work problems and don't include me it's less pressure on me.

Well we do have the tendency to group together as well but we don't do that to gang up against one group. It just that I am much comfortable doing work with these people than the others.

Fortunately, we didn't meet such a person in the office. Otherwise, it will make our work very uncomfortable.

Ours was a small office and it didn't happen there thankfully.

This happens among adults as well. I see it most often in churches, which is really sad. While it is common place among many teens, I have to say, my kids never took part in this kind of activity. That was one of the advantages to homeschooling. They were taught to interact with all ages and types of people, and they did it well. I have never had this problem in my office, either. I am sole proprietor, so nothing worry about there.

To some extent, yes.
