This weekend my country was hit for the first time in our history by a hurricane. There are several material damages throughout the country but at least no one was seriously injured. There are some cities without electricity and water.
The weather in my country has been changing a lot in the last 5 years and now we are having these weather that isn't commun here.
Is the weather changing in your country too?

I was just thinking about you when I learned that the hurricane was hitting Portugal. I hope you are okay. Here in Florida, we've been getting hit more frequently and by stronger storms than at any point in our history. They say it is the result of climate change. I hope climate change doesn't cause more hurricanes to hit your country.

@nela13 If you experience a type of storm that you've never experienced before, it would be scary. I've experienced dozens of catastrophic hurricanes, and they are still scary to me. When nature unleashes that much fury, it's bound to scare even the bravest of souls.

@moffittjc It was scaring but it hadn't so much power as the ones that hit your country.

Right now here we only have two seasons, summer and winter, two extremes.

I'm glad nobody was killed or seriously injured. Material possessions can be replaced. But lives can't be.

I'm glad you posted this. Our North American news broadcasters ignored Hurricane Leslie because they felt it wasn't their problem. Hope you didn't sustain any damages.

Yes, it is all part of climate change I am afraid. I expect it to get worse, not better.
