What A Weekend….

Yep, it was quite the weekend. Saturday was fine, but Sunday could’ve been better. My best friend asked me if I wanted to go to Walmart on Saturday, so I went with her and the little guy. I only got the things I needed, as opposed to things that could wait another week. I’m on a budget and it’s not like I never go to Walmart, so I didn’t need to get everything just yet. She treated me to Burger King on the way home, but unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling well when I got home. I gave the rest of my food to my family and just laid down for a while. I figured it was just motion sickness, and I didn’t feel as bad when I woke up. On Sunday, I went to a small pumpkin ride with some of the family. It was free admission, but $7 for the corn maze, and of course it started raining AFTER we bought the corn maze admission. Since they only stamp your hand instead of giving tickets (therefore having no way of knowing who did and didn’t enter the maze already), we weren’t sure about refunds, so we decided to do the maze. I slipped in the mud not once, but twice, back-to-back. It was cold, wet and all over me. Granted it was just mud, it still wasn’t any fun. :( I also burned my tongue on hot apple cider. Why I didn’t just get the cold one is beyond me. I did buy my niece a little key for Santa, as we don’t have a chimney. I’m kicking myself for not buying one for Little Mister, since it was only $0.50, but maybe I can find one elsewhere. It was really cute though. I fell asleep on the way home (it was an hour drive, another reason why we didn't wanna skip the corn maze). When we finally got home, I changed and all that jazz, and fell asleep on the couch. I woke up feeling nauseated, and finally had to force myself to head to the bathroom because I was going to be sick, to put that in a non-gross way. I'm pretty sure it was indigestion, since I wasn't feeling good the night before either. Anyways, I was a little lightheaded and felt like, cold sweats too. I sat on the bathroom floor for a few minutes because I just didn’t have the energy, but finally made my way back downstairs. My stomach wasn’t hurting anymore, but I still didn’t have any energy. Later, I ate something, talked with my sister for a bit about fall/winter festivities, and then hit the hay around 11pm. I was just tired and done with the day. I’m feeling much better today. Just working on my writing orders and watching Raw. I hope you all had a great weekend. Take care, peeps. :) Photo Credit: Pixabay.

@tammys85 I guess that your days of making mud pies are over. Pumpkin pies are so much better.

@1hopefulman Oh yeah. There was enough mud on me for several mud pies lol. I'll take some pumpkin pie though.

Thank you. Nah, we didn't stop to really look at any since it was raining, but we'll get some before Halloween. I just wanted to get away from the mud at that point.

Sorry again about Sunday. Wish you weren't sick and didn't fall in the mud. The santa key thing sounds real cute and cool.

Aw thanks. Luckily it's over, and this passed Sunday was a better one. I loved the idea, but at $0.50 a piece, I'm kicking myself for not getting my best friend's son one.

@Courtlynn If I go to that corn maze again, I may. I'll keep an eye out at flea markets though, another art vendor may have them. Thank you so much.

All that feeling sick and actually getting sick sounds awful. The rest would have been fun if you hadn't fallen in the mud I think

Stomach indigestion sometimes gives a sense of motion sickness. I hope you feel well now.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. My friend and her family who live below me are all down with some crazy virus. Her husband brought up some mail for me and he had a surgical mask over his face. He made me laugh but better safe than sorry. I have to go out to do some errands later this week but now I am wondering if I should stay incubated in my apartment for at least another week. We shall see. Hope you keep feeling better.

Thank you so much. Mine wasn't a virus, it was just something I ate. If you're worried about catching something, and the errands can wait, give it another few days.

I'm sorry about the corn maze. Slipping and falling is never fun. I'm also sorry you were sick when you got home, but glad you're feeling better today. I hope the rest of your week goes better.

I've noticed around me a lot more people getting sick.... could be the up and down temperatures we've had here the last few weeks.

I wasn't really sick, it was indigestion from something I ate - it didn't agree with me.
