Religion in schools

I don't agree with the idea to study religion in school. It shouldn't be compulsory. Parents should choose if they send their kids to this classes. When I was a child I didn't enjoy at all these lessons

Religion is not taught in public schools only in private schools.

I didn't find the information being useful and the teacher was very strict.

I don't think religion should be taught to children because they are too trusting and susceptible to manipulation by adults. Indoctrination is just another name for brain washing.
