AutoFill-ology - Interesting how AutoFill works on Facebook

I'm sure you know "AutoFill": how--when you're typing into a search-engine or sometimes in a text-message or email-address etc.--a little pop-up (or is it 'drop-down) beneath your text will give you a few options to instantly finish the word rather than typing the rest of it yourself.
The autofill I'm thinking-of right now is 'the Locations text-bar when adding events to my "Alt-Weekly Advertisements"-calendar.' https://www.facebook.com/groups/OklahomaVites/?ref=bookmarks
Posting an event, getting to the 'Location'-textbar; I'll type in a few letters, and a short list of 'Facebook-pages and -profiles' will drop-down beneath it. It's interesting; because sometimes I'll see the page (of the Location I'm posting about) after typing only two-or-three letters, but then it'll be "crowded-out" by other location-pages if I type a few more letters (rather than continuing to display the place I'm typing-in)
I guess I'm wondering 'what the auto-fill rules are' for Facebook-pages & -groups & -profiles
