"Opporknockerity only tunes once"

I'm not sure if we're allowed to tell jokes on here - so I suppose it's alright that I don't exactly remember the old joke about a tardy piano tuner named "Opporknockerity". It's a spin off of the old saying "Opportunity only knocks once".
So while things have been crazy, busy, up-in-the-air hectic stressful ….
I have been having opportunities for positive stuff come by, right and left out of the air it seems.
During this span of time I have 2 bands to audition for, 2 art shows interested in my glass jewelry, a pass for unlimited dance classes to use by next month, 3 dance performance opportunities...
Not just this time, but it seems like most times there is extra stress , then the opportunities come pouring in.
Now this isn't a complaint, an observation instead.
Has anyone else had this happen? Have any thoughts about it?
The blessings are nice , I feel like there is a life lesson in here somewhere.

Awesome! The opportunities, that is, not the extra stress. Two band auditions, two art shows, dance classes, dance performance opportunities...That's about a year's worth of opportunity crammed into a few days. One thing I don't understand is why no comedy clubs made you offers, since you're so good at remembering and telling jokes

Ha ha… I know right? My head's practically spinning at the moment.
Well I know I was going to try out for comedy - but yknow, I thought it wouldn't be fair to everyone else because I'm so swell at it

That is the exact same reason I don't write songs. People like Lennon & McCartney worked really hard to gain a little fame and fortune in the music business and who am I to take it all away by focusing the world on me? I just couldn't live with myself.

Sometimes good things come in bunches. Or good things come to those who wait. Or good things happen to good people. In other words, "it's all good."

Life goes a long without much happening and then you are hit with "opporknockerty" for a brief period and then back to just other days until tehy next happening--good or bad. It makes life not boring! :O)

@Inlemay Actually no, I had no idea. That's cool though, I love learning new stuff. Here when someone says bowling - this picture, is usually what they mean. I haven't heard of Lawn Bowls, though... it looks like it may be similar to something we have called Croquet , which uses balls and mallets.

Thanks for asking - the first one was a pop/soft rock 4 piece.... turns out they went with the guy who auditioned just before me. The second one is a 3 piece hard rock band - and I think I got that one. At least first rehearsal went well :-D Thanks for asking
