Learning to say Whatever

Instead of dreading the weather as it changes, I have decided to embrace it. No matter what the temperatures are, I will adapt. After all, what choice do we have, right? I was out and about today running errands. It started out cool and then a light drizzle and then cooler as I was out. I was not dressed for the weather but nothing to do but say, oh well.. whatever.
This issue also reminded me of other things in life we cannot change. I try to embrace whatever comes and goes. It makes life go by a lot smoother. If you can't change it, just roll with it. I know, sounds easy but it is not. Life is a challenge and is all about out our attitudes.
The photo is one of my cats Brendel chilling, also teaching me to say... whatever.
Do you have a go to word when things come up you can't change?

Learning to accept the things we cannot change is a key first step to contentment. It does sound simple, but it's one of the hardest lesson there is.

@CarolDM Yeah, I don't know. I don't think it was any easier at any point in the past. On the contrary in fact.

I'm happy now that my dog is eating again and looking healthy and my knee doesn't hurt that much anymore.
Other things I can live with it.

I am totally a summer guy, the hotter the better. I just don't like the cold, and don't function very well in it. But, having lived in Colorado for 37 years, I am used to it. 35° and snowing here in Denver right now. But I'm dealing with it.

@CarolDM - For some reason, I thrive in the heat. I love riding my bike in the heat. I can't explain it, but I seem to ride stronger when it's really hot.

Cute cat. And I guess you're right. Nothing much we can do about the weather so may as well thrive in it

Whatever is a good word, better than my words I might say in the same situation. That's good to keep a positive attitude and just go with the flow. I try to live that way...but like you said it is not always easy! Thank you for sharing, and great photo of Brendel!

When it comes to weather we certainly have no control but it's fun to complain about it....it's either too hot or too cold, too rainy or not enough rain. I like your approach to saying "whatever" and just deal with the weather as it comes along. Today we had a nice sunny day so that gets a huge smile from me
