My car is the dealership's "problem child".

I dropped my convertible off at the dealership first thing on Saturday morning. I hadn't heard anything by last evening from them so I called this morning on my break at work to check up on things. The girl said they were just starting to look at it. Um okay. She called me back at 5 pm to let me know that they've done all sorts of tests on it and it is their "problem child" today. She said that the roof is leaking in several different places and they now have a hose running slowly on it overnight for some other reason. She said that the repair would probably take many days if not a week or longer but that she would call me tomorrow when she had more information. Figures that MY car was the one that was the problem child today.

Did you give them a list of things that needed attention when you dropped of your car?

Just the convertible roof leaking. I told them there was an inch of water under the driver's seat from Thursday night's rain storm and that the seat was absorbing it. It is a lease. If the car winds up full of mold, that will be their problem too.

@NJChicaa My relative had the same problem recently when the auto was being repaired which took about three or four days.

This is already going on 4 days and I suspect it will be much longer than that.
