Can movies help you to learn a new language

I did learn easily spanish thanks to watching some mexican movies.Also, I improved my english while watching Dallas and other similar movies. I do believe it is a great way to learn or improve your language skills

Films can help to improve your knowledge of a language but you should have a basis. Watching a film in an unknown language without any prior knowledge won't get you far in my opinion.

Yes it is! I learned to speak another dialect because of this, at first there's a translator below but after few years of watching from the same dialect with the subtitle, I slowly adopting the language itself.

When i was little girl watching movies helped me so much. Now it do not help.
