NOT a Great Day..

Crikey gets towed

So I work all night and when I get home. I would really love to just relax but It doesn't always work out that way. there's always grocery shopping. the dogs and cats are always running out of something. Today was supposed to be a trip to walmart to get canned cat food- and then I decided to go to the vet to get some flea medicine for the dogs... $120 later I walk out of the vet with meds. Get in the car and nothing. it doesn't start.. makes some weird clicking and whirring noise. Lucky I have a friend that lives like a mile away.. she was able to come down and give us a ride home as AAA was towing my car away. I feel very sad.. my car "Crikey" has never had to be towed before... I don't know what is wrong with her or how much this is going to cost me. Then I had to bring my roommate to work in my truck so we both had to get up early.. lost sleep sucks. as I was driving to work there was a car partial blocking a lane on the highway and the people in front slammed on brakes - I did too.. and it sent my gallon of milk in the backseat crashing to the floor. by the time I got to work.. a half a gallon of milk had leaked out all under the drivers seat and into the carpet... I give up! Today (Wednesday) better be a good day! Or at least better than yesterday.

Oh my goodness, the number 17 seems not to be lucky for you, what a horrible day! I hope your car Crikey has no serious issues... and the repair is not too expensive. Good luck.

@minx267 Most of the time when a car does not start it's the batter and the smell of fuel it's because we try to start it several times. I hope that Crikey has no other problems.

@LadyDuck the smell of fuel is because it has a fuel leak somewhere.. we have been smelling that for over 2 months. but it was the battery and it now running again.

Your car sounds like a battery or starter problem. Hopefully nothing worse.

It wasn't too bad.. turns out it was just a battery. and while that was $155.. it was a lot less than I was imagining I would have to spend.

Be sure to really mop up the milk and clean the carpet with water, or any residual milk will go sour and stink the car out.

@minx267 Well, I wouldn't just mop it up and leave it. Maybe mop it up then get some warm, soapy water and rub the area to try to get rid of the milk. Then do the same with clean water and hopefully there won't be any smell once it dries.
