My husband is technically one even those he is Medical Tech is the equivalent of an Assistant. He is one step down form a nurse does things that nurses do minutes he can give medication. So for the 2 days he has worked he got a shirt which they always get. Candy bar was last night they where also overstaffed so he got to come home at midnight vs 7am. He has work tomorrow night sure what he’ll get them till after he comes home.

What is a medical assistant? Do you mean the technicians who operate the MRI scanners and other machinery in a hospital? Or does this include hospital porters and the like?

His job is a mental health tech. Their are all kinds of techs but certainones do have a week or day for them as welll. This is all medical techs. He doesn’t work with MRI’s. Lab and MRI techs have to go to nursing school and training school. Mental health techs just need their AS in any field and to have at least one year in Trama. He has his one year certificate for trama for working the desk in the ER. Metal health techs monitor patients like making sure hey are breathing if not they call a code and step a side. They make sure they patients make it to on spot to another working vaisitors to and from visitor hours. They also do what is called babysitting where they watch the sleepers inbetween nurse changes. They can not work with any medication till they have a nursing degree a few certifications. He is 2 years away from his nursing certificates and degree. He works on a locked floor since it’s the metal health floor so he has special rights.
