...since I did a breakfast post. Yesterday morning, I had two eggs left, so I fried them up and added swiss cheese and onions. I didn't have any green pepper or ham around or the would have gone in there as well. This morning I actually had a frozen waffle with butter and maple syrup. I think I'll also gobble up a slice of lox before I head off to work. Protein, you know. What did you have for breakfast this morning?

@LadyDuck You reminded me of some politician from the US saying Indians have improved in standard of living, so they can afford better food, as a result of which food in the world has become expensive. LOL. To be honest, it may be true. But doesn't strawberry jam taste too sweet without butter?

@TheHorse No butter, I avoid to use butter when not needed, it's not a very healthy fat.

We didn´t have much. So Leticia dice a tomato with fresh cheese and placed it over bread. That with a cup of coffee, of course. Now I´m on my way to the second cup.

Around here, the breakfast post is what the mailman brings to your door on a Saturday morning...

@TheHorse Sunday? Oh no, day of rest, Sunday. Nothing moves anywhere, except for those who go out to the nearest hostelry for a leisurely carvery lunch, here on a Sunday. Mailmen (or "postmen") particularly so.

@pgntwo 'Carvery' is a typical British term. Did you know that?

I am having coffee for breakfast. A few days ago I was craving pancakes and maple syrup. No, I did not indulge.

@andriaperry Yep. A few posts about pancakes, with me commenting, and I had to start making them. Incredibly, using olive oil does NOT hurt their flavor.

I like brown sugar on my oatmeal (which I rarely make at home). What do you put on it?

@TheHorse Yes that is what I had as well. Brown sugar, butter and pecans. Sometimes I substitute honey for the brown sugar.

I love cabbage soup. Especially with corned beef. The combination makes me full, gassy, and pungent.

@TheHorse the east coast. I'm not sure I cooked enough rice for four. Rice pudding is our breakfast about once a month. It's especially good on a frosty morning.

That looks so delicious for breakfast. Usually, when i scramble eggs, it's just plain salt and pepper. But sometimes I mix some slices of tomatoes. It's delicious too and they're for breakfast. But sometimes, one of the viand for dinner when the helper wants a quick cooking.
