Is there such a thing as TOO much walking?

So, I have this job where I walk - a LOT. I had no idea how much until I started getting about 35 hours a week - for which I am grateful! My feet, however, feel differently - and I am beginning to feel like an old man! I didnt make the connection until I got this stepometer app on my phone. On average, I walk a mile for every hour on shift. During a 6 hour shift, I typically record 16-17,000 steps. Even after buying new shoes and those cushion insole thingies - which shoes are now ready to be replaced after just a few months, my feet ache and throb. When I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I literally moan and groan I'm so stiff and sore! Do I really need to buy a $100+ pair of athletic sneakers? Do I need to stretch before work?? Any thoughts are welcome!

I guess anything that you do in excess is bad for you. In time you would feel the effects of that if you exceeded what you’re capable of. I think you should consult a doctor if the soreness worsen overtime.

I think some good supportive shoes and stretching would both be a good option. That is sure a lot of steps!
