Ian Unger who is six years of age is selling pumpkins for $5 dollars each so he can purchase a service dog that can assist him when he needs to be taken care of for type 1 diabetes that he has had since he was four years of age. Thanks to the assistance of his mother Katrina Christensen and the use of Facebook and Instagram, 475 persons have purchased the pumpkins from Ian's home in Howard City Michigan. So far Ian through his efforts has raised over $16,000 dollars. His goal so he can purchase a diabetic service dog is $25,000. Ian will be going to McNaughton Elementary School on his first year of class, the best hope for Ian to get his granted would be that someone who sees his pleas for a service dog can get him a service dog at a discount price or make a donation so Ian and his mom can have their needs met.

That is amazing that a boy so young can do so much to get what he really needs. He is going to go far. Hope they meet their goal. I know that if I had the money to share I would put up the rest of what he needed. I can just put in a prayer they meet their goal.

I am sure someone with deep pockets will donate a service dog or donate the money to get him a service dog.

Service dogs are expensive since they are a few of them and the demand is high for them.
