Students go Home at Noon Tomorrow

Tomorrow is a 1/2 day teacher workday at school. The students go home at noon. The teachers stay to finalize grades and get report cards ready until 3:15.
I will also be busy planning a field trip tomorrow afternoon. It will be my first at this school. One of my colleagues has volunteered to help me, thank goodness.
The missus is taking tomorrow off to pack up the camper for our trip to Carolina Beach this weekend. We made the reservations 11 months ago. It will probably be our last outing this year.
The Weather Channel is calling for thunderstorms on Saturday. As long as we get a chance to walk the beach with the dogs before it storms, we will be just as happy to snuggle up in the camper and let it rain.

@DWDavis That will be a lot of fun for the kids and very educational as well. Does your school have an activity bus or will you have to charter a greyhound?

@ScribbledAdNauseum We have neither an activity bus nor, in this case, will we charter a bus. Parent volunteers will do the driving.

I will be back to hibernating again. Today was taking care of the Bambimobile and tomorrow is the produce auction. Of forgot, Saturday is livestock auction. So I will get back to hibernating on Sunday lol

@RasmaSandra Though I taught in public schools for 15 years and did the best I could in the situations I found myself in, I always knew my boys were better off in the Catholic school we sent them to. When I look at their success, I know we were right.

@DWDavis I know you do and you are a great teacher from all I have read. I would have loved having you for a teacher way way back when I was in grade school. At those times in the 1960s it seemed all teachers really cared about was the money they made and their position in school and that was the reason for the many teacher strikes then. Only good thing that came out of those days was that due to the stikes and upheaval my mom placed me in a private school and I got a much better education and the teachers cared. BTW in that private school I met one of my best friends that was in the 6th grade and we became so close. Kept in touch all these years and she is the one who offered me this apartment I am in now.

Nice one. My plan for the weekend is to watch some exciting football matches and go out on with friends on Sunday to have fun.
