Never got a repeat of this

Papaya trees are moody and unpredictable. They come up on their own and yield as and when they feel like. These papayas that you see in the image surprised us. We never had such healthy looking papayas before. Nor have we seen them again. Such is the behaviour of nature. I have no other alternative but to just move on hoping that I will get yet another surprise such as this. One never knows.

Papayas are very common fruits here. And your papayas grow very well. They must be so sweet.

I love papayas. I prefer growing them rather than buying them.

I like papayas. A friend from Indonesia introduced me to them. We can buy them here, but it is not that easy to find them.

@allknowing It is nice to grow your own. Here we have to buy them if we want to eat them. In my country apple trees are very common, but we don't have any fruit trees in our garden.

Practically everyone has this fruit in their garden here. My trees have not yielded for a while now and although I love them never bought them even though my trees do not yield (lol)

I prefer papayas when they are still green. I know when they are green they are more of a vegetable. I use ripe papayas for smoothies to cover the papaya taste with pineapple and apple.

Your papayas look beautiful, I think to remember that you had beautiful fruits also the past Spring. Cherries are unpredictable, you never knows if you will get fruits or not.

@allknowing Not at all, the few plants of hot peppers that I have not removed are blooming again, I suppose they believe it's Spring.

That looks yummy. How long does a Papaya tree survive and how many produce do we get from one tree?? Can you share as you have them in your garden. I hope this is repeated.

There is no hard and fast rule about these trees. Some may last for two years but others do not survive heavy rains.

They yield throughout the year but the trees cannot withstand heavy rains.
