Is it true that Americans are very friendly and they smile at strangers?

My brother worked in the USA for 4 months. He noticed that Americans are very friendly. They say hello to each other even if they are strangers. They smile at strangers. This is nice. I saw in a documentary the same thing. I want to ask Americans if this is true.

In my opinion, everywhere, there are peole who are friendly and others are not. I think Americans are indeed generally friendly, as.most American myLotters here are.

I think it's like most countries. Some people are friendly and some are not. I think American's here in the south are friendlier than in some other parts of the country.

A mix bag Most are good and some are not so good. You only judge character by their body language.If a person smile at me,then smile back.

I don't know but I met American peoples here in india and in other Asian countries, yeah they reacted and later I talked to them seeing their reaction.In this way, yeah they are friendly.

They are usually friendly. There are many Americans here in the Philippines. I see them smiling at me at a distance.

I have been many times in the United States, most of Americans are friendly, some are not.

Most are friendly and yes I smile and speak to strangers. But there will always be the meanies of the world, can`t get away from them.

I am not in America but i think Americans are nice people, from what i have seen in movies and from what i gathered from friends who live there.
