Later isn’t an option anymore

Lately I have been having to ensure things are done when I notice they need doing. Waiting isn’t much of an option now that I am working out of the home. While my schedule isn’t full time(yet), available time to complete such tasks as cleaning, laundry and dishes now need to be done as soon as possible. Household tasks, aside from the simple picking up after yourself, will now need to be deligated and shared. It’s a great opportunity for the kids to develop self sufficiency and responsiblity, but one I have not been consistent with. For my sanity and the wellbeing of the kids, I will have to set aside the need to do it myself. Hopefully we all adapt well to the shifting responsibilities and schedules quickly.

That's also one of my goals. To be productive and stop procrastinating.

Procrastination is one of my flaws. I am learning to handle it and get things done when I can. The kids can learn how to help too.

Good hope you can get it all done by giving tasks to everyone. What are you doing from home now then?

I am working outside the home. I have been a stay at home mom for 5 years. It’s an adjustment, but one that will be benificial for all.

I'm sure that with time you'll adjust and get used to the new routine. Sometimes, it just takes time.

So far things have gone quite smoothly. I am sure a few bumps will happen. If I can keep on top of things they won’t be as difficult.

Good luck. Consistency goes a long way. With working outside the home, you'll give them more opportunities to be self sufficient....remember to take time to enjoy each other's company,

Definitely! My oldest even has her own house key now. I did a course this past week and was unsure if I would be back in time to get the kids. I was able to get to the school every day, but at least we have a plan in place if I can’t make it.

At the very least get the dirty stuff where I can easily grab it! Hunting for dirty clothes isn’t fun.
