This story is kind of bittersweet since Rich Morgan who is battling salivary gland cancer was impressed with the service of an independent pizza store in Battle Creek Michigan called "Steve's Pizza." Julie Morgan and her husband Rich wanted to go back to Battle Creek 25 years ago to purchase a pizza from their favorite pizza parlor to celebrate Julie's 56th birthday. As fate would have it, Jules fell ill and he could not make the trip back to Battle Creek to buy a pizza from Steve's Pizza that only serves carryout customers. The manager of the Steve's Pizza in Battle Creek answered the call of duty on October 16 by promising that he would deliver two pizzas to the Morgan family in Indianapolis which is 225 miles away. Dalton made the decision to take the long trip from Battle Creek to Indianapolis to deliver the two pizzas as a goodwill gesture. Rich and Jules as well as members of their family were very happy to have Dalton deliver their pizza the next morning since Dalton left the store at 2:30 am which would take around 3 and one half hours. Dalton told the Morgan family that Rich is in his prayers to get well soon. Dalton then returned back to Battle Creek from Indianapolis after he delivered the pizzas to the cancer patient. If there is one good deal about pizza, the independent store have better tasting pizzas than the national brands.

That is very true since as far I know, there is not anyone who would travel 200 plus miles to deliver a pizza to a customer who is dying from cancer. I have noticed that small mom and pop pizza parlors make outstanding pizza like a pizza parlor in Montreal called "Esplanade" has a very good pizza taste.
