When someone looks at you and tells you that they know you can do something if you just try hard enough, with the knowledge you already have, makees the world of difference. That person plain out told me "you have the power, you are in control!" That old guy is my doctor. Two and a half months ago he told me to stop eating like I had slipped back into, and get back to the way I was. My blood sugar was back up and my blood pressure was was up and he was not giving me any medication because I could fix it with how I ate. I listened. After all I need to make the best of this life, no pills and a happy active life, what else is there? He told me to do three things, stop eating sweets, stop eating salt and double the walking. This morning I was happy with my numbers, especially since I forgot to take my meds last night. Blood sugar is 135, to some that is high for morning but mine was from 150 to 170. Blood pressure is 129/60.... Ahhh, getting back to normal its been from 135 / 74 to 149/72 depends on what salty food I had ate. Now there is something else I had stopped doing and I went back to doing and that is vitamins. My GYN told me years ago to take 2,000 in Vitamin D daily and I added vitamin E for my nails and hair. For some reason I just got tired of buying and taking them, but ya know what, I do think they play a huge part in good health, lacking one may cause more problems than we know. So I am back wining the fight to stay healthy. How about you? How are you doing?

Yes, Vitamin D and E are important, if you walk and the sun is shining, you surely get enough vitamin D. I do not want to take pills, I take care what I eat, it's a lot better.

@andriaperry I see, my husband takes the D, the doctor reminds him every time to take something "oily" when he takes the D, the best is 3 walnuts.

I take my calcium for my bones and glucosamine for joints and I exercise several times a week. I am fighting to stay as young as possible.

I saw my doctor yesterday. I hadn't had any bloodwork done, so not sure about my sugar level, but my blood pressure was excellent.

Yay! I am glad to hear that. Do you have a blood sugar problem? I was surprised when I seen mine, so was the doctor because I have always had a good to low blood pressure.

I am keeping a handle on most things. My vitamin d is alway slow so probably need to start on a daily dose. Good you are dealing with your issues.
