People hardly make phone calls anymore

My son yesterday reminded me that I am entitled to 150 free calls from my landline which I never use. Now with whattsap and facebook have realized that I hardly pick up the phone and talk to anyone. Its always been messaging. I guess I am guilty of not giving a personal touch to my conversations by picking up the phone and talking to people. How many more like me around?

@mayka123 I have a landline and I want it because people can leave messages and I call if they leave a message on my cell phone. Some times I need to use it too.

I need to use my cell phone for all work related calls because I don't give them my land-line number. Besides I check my emails too on my phone.

@Hannihar My landline does not have any system of leaving messages so I depend on my mobile for getting calls.

@mayka123 I prefer that they leave a message on my landline and I call back on my cell phone. I turn my cell phone off when I do not need it.

I find whattsap very convenient as I can reply to messages when I have the time. Yes but sometimes it is a nuisance.

@mayka123 I do not need to send messages, if it's for business I send emails, if I need to talk to friends or family I call.

It is true. I seldom will make a real call. I like to leave a message by social media as people can reply to me when they are available. Besides, there is a record for our conversation.

Same here in our country. We just use Facebook Messenger now for our daily conversation. My phone doesn't ring at all unless it's something very important. I just send messages. I don't do video or audio calls. For me, FB messenger is a great help. I can save money because it's free to chat. It doesn't cost me any money.

I have found many people using facebook messenger. I only have added my family and some close friends on Facebook. And I do chat with them on messenger a lot of times.

I have a combined package of wifi connection with the landline. I only use the wifi and do not take advantage of the 150 calls that are free with the package.

We used to have a landline but it got cut off when the NBN started to be rolled out. My attitude on phone calls vary and sometimes when calling a business, dentist, doctor etc it can be stressful for me. Other times I can spend hours on the phone to the right person.

I have a landline and a mobile phone. I dont share my landline no with many people because I prefer not being disturbed with unnecessary phone calls while I am at home.

I talk to the other half every day on the phone, other than that there are maybe three people I talk to on the phone.

I guess the only phone calls I make are the official calls from my mobile. Hardly talk to anyone from my landline anymore.

I don't have whattsap so I don't have any idea about this.You should have use the free calls.If I know that I have free calls I talk and talk to my friends in my phone.
