Cockroach bait?

I did not get much sleep yesterday because i saw a cockroach in my room as i was turning on the lights to go to the bathroom.
I just hate cockroaches... i could have killed it if i wasn't so creeped out by it. But i missed it and it hid under the bed. 
I spent almost 30 minutes trying to find it, since I had to move the bed around and it
was quite heavy but it just vanished 
Now i am thinking of making a bait for it. do you know any easy to make baits for cockroaches?

I hate cockroaches too. As they come when there´s humidity around, I try to leave water away from my room. And I always have a can of Raid around.

I hate those things. I have some little ones and I have store bought baits. The larger ones if I see I just stomp on. This might help you.
