Do you have some services that they do not come at a certain time but between times?

I will explain better here. Someone helped me order a new air purifier and a messenger is bringing it to my door hopefully tomorrow but it is between 9 and Noon. Do any of you have people that come to bring you something or service something in your home and they come between such and such a time?

Yes, but often it's people like the cable or electric company. That way the customer doesn't have to sit around all day waiting. I don't know that deliveries do that, but in our area which is a somewhat small town, any deliveries can be left on our porches, or if it's something they're not sure if it might be stolen the delivery person will put it at the back door.
I've no idea how deliveries in larger communities or cities do it since I'm sure some cities are more predisposed to not receiving what was ordered. I'd ask my sister who lives in Detroit, but I'm guessing she doesn't order that much to be delivered.

@Hannihar Yes, most of us shop for our own groceries, although ordering them online may become more popular one day, I doubt it will ever become universal or that common. We have a newer service here called Shipt. The customer registers with shipt and a shopper takes the order, fills it and delivers it to the customer within a certain time frame picked out by the customer.
Our store and region has many customers that enjoy this service. It saves them some time when they are busy with work or kids. I prefer getting my own things at present, but if I'm ever too sick to do it, I might consider this as an option.

Now that sounds interesting. I find it hard to shop online. I ordered groceries once online and I would rather go to the store and see the items or products myself and decide if want them or not. They did not have everything I wanted so do not do that anymore and anyways have to sit and wait for them to bring it. I would rather buy and bring it home myself even if it is hard or not.

When I had cable I had to wait for the person to come. When I go to the grocery store I bring the groceries home myself.

Individuals come at a certain time you set up with them but companies send someone between certain hours and at times you can decide which hours are better for you and then for the air purifier a messenger came so he called to see if he could come the day before because he was in the area.
