I tried once a long time ago and I quit because I really do not get it how they really earn. If you are traveler perhaps you could earn some and you got a large following on your site. Maybe if I persevered I could have got some followers but I am not a patient writer and a good one at that so I decided to put on shelve the idea of maintaining it.

@yoalldudes Yeah you also have to think about the theme/design of your blog. You should be consistent with your theme so your blog would be noticed by others. I think the ones that really prosper are those that are into travel blogs because they can use it to promote the places they go into and eventually if you got a lot of followers these hotels or resorts might also pay you or give you free accommodations to promote their place.

Yes, I used to (way back in 2008) 
I used to make more than $50 a week. My blog has a page rank (page rank 2) that opened a lot of opportunities for me. Now, I am just writing for Bit Landers. The earnings aren’t enough but at least I am making $1 a day. You need to have a niche, and don’t forget to constantly update your blog. Submit your website to different search engines, etc.

@yoalldudes I started at the end of January. Hopefully, I am able to earn a little with it at some point, but for now, I'm okay with it.

I have tried on several occassions to start a blog that would earn. The reason they haven't succeeded is because I haven't the time to keep them up to date and readers are always looking for something new to be posted. If you have the time, and interesting things to blog about that will engage your readers, then it is certainly worth a try.

I have a blog but it doesn't earn me anything. It is more of a hobby and personal journal for me. It has been really long since I have posted a new blog.

I guess you derive satisfaction from it. Is it new? Sometimes it takes time to be able to monetize a blog.

I have a blog, that is used mainly to share reviews and sometimes updates on my own books its not earning but it has drawn people to my books which does draw in income!
