A series of songs which feature an animal in the title will be the subject of our new music trivia quiz. I hope you don't think this music series will be "for the birds." Because the babababa bird is the word.... Enjoy the video that guy is one crazy dude! (and he is drug-free) Whodunnit? Here are your clues: 1. This 1958 hit reached # 2 on the U.S. charts being the only top 40 song recorded by this artist. HIs innocent upbeat songs was a hybrid of pop and R&B. MIchael and the Jackson 5 had great success covering this singer's tunes, their recording of today's trivia song hit #1 on the R&B charts. The B-side of this single was a song called "Over And Over," which in 1965 became a US #1 hit for The Dave Clark Five when they covered it. The song's lyrics tell of a bird which really rocks, impressing all the Jaybirds with his tweet-tweet-tweet. 2. This track was off the English Band's third album released in 1980. The album had two hit singles and reached #1 on the UK album charts. This power trio's musical style evolved from punk, into a new wave, pop and reggae-infused sound. This tune mentions a type of bird used by miners to indicate potential carbon monoxide danger below the earth. Bonus- The actual title of our featured video "The Bird Is The Word" is? If you payed attention you will know this Do you know the name of the film that played this song? Liner Notes: -The American surfer rock band "The Trashmen" recorded our video tune. It was a combination of two songs, one of them was the Rivingtons "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow." And the answers are....... If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. You can "Count On Me" to provide more clues. As always, thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com Photo-pinterest.com
This one had to be done. This is the Alternate Ending, because I liked the Dance that he does at the end. I know it's a Comedian.

1. Poor ol’ Bobby Day...(to the tune of “Come on Eileen”). Everybody remembers the song but nobody remembers him. 2. A friend of mine was a huge fan of the cops....in fact, she flew up to Norfolk to see them with me on the Ghost in the Machine tour. But she had no idea what canaries were used for in coal mines. It’s because they were, as the opening line says, “first to fall over when the atmosphere is less than perfect.” Precious clues, I’ll give you. Blue as the sky....

Ha, ha! Sure those canaries would rather be some kid's pet safe at home instead. The Jackson Five had a nice little cover hit on Bobby's "Little Bitty Pretty One" Mr. Day just ain't getting no respect..

I was thinking "Full Metal Jacket" on the film but like many a song birds are not exclusive to one location. "Fly Robin Fly..."

Yes # 1 is the correct song by Bobby Day The Jackson 5 also had a hit with the song. Here is the answer for #2 A very popular 70's-80's British group whose bassist went on to a successful solo career... Thanks for stopping by!
