The Goddess has left for her husband's abode in Kailash, on the Himalayas. Yesterday, the local idols were immersed. It was a time of joy for the people but I look to these celebrations with weariness.. They also bring a demon called noise. With the departure of the goddess silence has returned. But oh no, a stronger and more cruel demon is coming on the next 'no moon night'. On the Kali Puja and Dipawali night the noise and pollution is going to strike and choke the breath out of the Lady Silence and the Lady Freshair!
